Minecraft Java 26.3 Release Candidate 2 Targets Final Fixes Before Launch
Mojang’s second 26.3 release candidate addressed remaining bugs before the Wilderness Bound drop; the build was a test candidate, not the final release.
Mojang published Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 Release Candidate 2 on September 11, 2026, as part of the final testing phase for the Wilderness Bound game drop. The announcement described a further set of bug fixes and noted that the candidate could become the release build if no critical issues were found. This is historical testing-branch coverage; the release candidate was not the final public version at publication. The official changelog is the source for the full technical details.
