Minecraft Java 26.4 Snapshot 2 Improves Fog and Redesigns the F3 Screen
Mojang’s Snapshot 2 introduces improvements to render-distance fog, sky occlusion and a redesigned F3 debug overlay, alongside technical changes and bug fixes.
Mojang’s official Minecraft Java Edition 26.4 Snapshot 2, published September 29, 2026, improves render-distance fog and sky rendering and redesigns the F3 debug overlay for readability. The snapshot also includes technical changes and a list of bug fixes. Because this is a testing version rather than a stable release, features can change before final release. The official changelog includes detailed technical notes and recommends backing up worlds or testing separately before using snapshots.
