Minecraft Java 26.4 Snapshot 6 Adds Snow Bricks and Cold Sulfur Cube

Published 27 Oct 2026

Mojang published Java Snapshot 6 for version 26.4 on October 27. It adds Snow Bricks, which can be made from a 2×2 pattern of Snow Blocks and come in slab, stair and wall variants. The update also introduces the Cold Sulfur Cube, a new archetype that floats and can leave Frosted Ice beneath water as it moves when the required conditions are met. Other changes include revised default Java memory settings, ambient Ice Crystal sounds and fixes across gameplay and interface issues. Snapshot 6 is a test build, not a final release.
