Roblox Prepares Creators for Native TextChatService Migration
Roblox is asking developers to test PlatformIntegratedChat and prepare custom chat features for a planned native-chat migration in May 2027.
In an official Developer Forum post, Roblox outlined a move toward more native chat functionality and asked creators to test PlatformIntegratedChat in Studio. The post says custom chat integrations will need to move toward Roblox’s native systems ahead of a planned May 2027 migration. This is a developer-facing change; game creators should review the official post and test their experiences before the migration window.
